Located in the Central Foothills and Sierra Nevada the Eldorado National Forest encompasses a wide range of elevations hosting a variety of vegetation types and diverse wildlife species.  It is here that you can discover the connections between species and the complexities of life in the many zones.  Whether it is spending time identifying trees or wildflowers, watching a hawk soar above or a trout in a stream, or simply taking in the beauty of your surroundings, exploring the Forest is a chance to ask more questions, learn more, and gain a greater appreciation of the natural world.
